Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently recruiting a Senior Contracts Adviser to join a high-performing team responsible for driving commercial outcomes in the Subsea and Pipelines Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR). This is benchmarked as a 24 month contract located in the heart of the Perth CBD.

What are you going to do 

  • Lead end-to-end contracting activities from strategy through to execution and close-out
  • Develop and implement category strategies and sourcing plans
  • Manage RFQs/ITTs, tender evaluations, negotiation plans and contract approvals
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers
  • Ensure contracts and purchase orders comply with governance requirements
  • Identify commercial value and cost optimisation opportunities
  • Provide commercial advice to stakeholders and support key business decisions
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Tax, HSE and Operational Teams to achieve successful outcomes
  • Support changing business priorities across multiple categories as required

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Hold a degree in Business, Commerce OR Law
  • Extensive experience in Contracts, Category Management or Legal Advisory roles
  • Experience negotiating Energy industry contracts including indemnities, liability, IP and confidentiality provisions
  • Experience across the full tender lifecycle, particularly strategy and pre-award activities
  • Strong commercial negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions in complex, risk-based environments
  • Be passionate about your work, resilient, adaptable and flexible who thrives working on demanding projects
