Brunel International is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor for a rotational role based in Papua New Guinea. This position offers a unique 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off work schedule, ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and value work-life balance. What are you going to do 

As a Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSHE) compliance on site. You will be responsible for advising and supporting field operations teams on all aspects of safety management, risk assessments, incident investigations, and regulatory adherence. Your expertise will contribute to fostering a safe working culture across our operations in Papua New Guinea, supporting both personnel and project objectives.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the SSHE field, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Proven Field Execution experience in safety advisory roles
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a rotational schedule (4 weeks on / 4 weeks off)
  • Sound knowledge of international and local safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to lead safety training, audits, and emergency response initiatives
  • Willingness to be based onsite in Papua New Guinea for the duration of the contract
