What are you going to do 

QC Inspector – Structural, Piping, Dimensional, NDE & Coating (FPSO / Upstream Projects)

Job Purpose

Ensure quality compliance for structural, piping, NDE, coating, and dimensional inspection activities in FPSO and upstream oil & gas projects, covering fabrication, module integration, and offshore installation.

  • Perform inspection of structural and piping fabrication/installation as per drawings, codes, and specifications.
  • Conduct welding and visual inspections (AWS / CSWIP standards).
  • Execute and interpret NDT (RT, UT, MT, PT) – Level II.
  • Inspect coating activities including surface prep, DFT/WFT, and environmental checks.
  • Carry out dimensional control using precision instruments (alignment, tolerances, fit-up).
  • Witness pressure testing (hydro/pneumatic) and verify system compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to ASME, API, AWS, ISO, DNV/NORSOK standards.
  • Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and quality documentation.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil or equivalent).
  • Certifications: AWS / CSWIP Welding Inspector NDT Level II (ASNT/PCN/ISO 9712)Coating Level II (NACE/BGAS or equivalent)
  • 5–10 years QC inspection experience in oil & gas.
  • Mandatory exposure to FPSO, offshore platforms, or upstream projects.
  • Experience in shipyards, module fabrication, or EPC environments preferred.

Key Skills

  • Strong knowledge of international and offshore standards.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Good reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
