Introduction

The QC/QA Manager oversees all quality control and assurance activities for a mining project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all materials, processes, and outputs comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves close collaboration with project teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to uphold the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

What are you going to do 

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the project's Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO standards and corporate policies.
  • Manage and coordinate quality inspections, testing protocols, and verification of construction activities and materials.
  • Ensure compliance of all works with contract specifications, regulatory requirements, and engineering standards.
  • Supervise the QA/QC team and coordinate closely with contractors, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Conduct internal audits and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present quality performance metrics and reports to project stakeholders.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for third-party inspections and regulatory audits.
  • Promote a strong quality culture across all project functions.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Mining, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 8-10 years of QA/QC experience in mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
  • Experience in managing QA/QC for large-scale construction or mining projects, preferably in remote areas.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to be based on-site in Papua on a rotational work schedule.
