What are you going to do 

This role will suit an experienced Project Engineer ready to step into a Project Manager position, or a Project Manager with a strong estimating background who enjoys being involved from tender through to project completion.

You'll take ownership of projects while also supporting the front-end estimating function, building client relationships and helping establish the company's presence in the market.

This is far more than a traditional Project Manager role. You'll be trusted to contribute to business growth, identify opportunities and become a key part of the leadership team as the company continues to expand.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing estimates, tenders and cost plans
  • Managing projects from award through to completion
  • Client relationship management and business development
  • Procurement and subcontractor management
  • Financial management, forecasting and reporting
  • Programming and project coordination
  • Identifying and pursuing new project opportunities
  • Supporting the continued growth and reputation of the business

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Experience in a Project Engineer, Project Manager or Estimator (ideally a mix) within construction
  • Project Managed commercial projects up to $5M
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding
  • Ability to manage projects autonomously
  • Experience across commercial, healthcare, industrial or infrastructure projects highly regarded
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ambition to grow with a business and make a lasting impact
