Introduction

We’re hiring Project Engineering Manager for one of our Leading MNC in Oil & Gas to join their growing team. This position is based out in Mumbai.

What are you going to do 

  • Position: Project Engineering Manager;
  • YOE: Min 15 Years;
  • Contract: Permanent Role;
  • Location: Mumbai.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee engineering projects in the upstream oil and gas sector, including fixed platform topside and FPSO projects;
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical professionals, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, and ensure adherence to project milestones and deliverables;
  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or risks, and take necessary corrective actions to ensure project objectives are met;
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to establish project requirements, specifications, and technical standards;
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices;
  • Conduct regular project meetings, prepare progress reports, and present updates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients;
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Manage project contracts, including the review and approval of change orders and variations;
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identify opportunities for efficiency gains, and implement best practices to enhance project delivery.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus;
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, with a focus on fixed platform topside and FPSO projects;
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from initiation to completion;
  • Strong technical background and understanding of engineering principles and practices related to offshore oil and gas installations;
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and mitigate risks;
  • Proficient in project management software and tools;
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the aptitude to motivate and guide a diverse group of professionals;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders;
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations;
  • PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
