Introduction

Brunel is currently searching for a Project Engineer for a long-term, contract position with our client located in Knoxville, Tennessee.

This position will be on the forefront of leading technology on how to convert ships to run on green fuel. Focused on green energy and carbon neutral targets working with Green Fleet projects developing and testing a range of technologies to power marine fleets.

We are searching for a Project Engineer with a track record of delivering new and challenging projects associated with internal combustion engines.

What are you going to do 

Duties:

  • Leading all technical aspects of key project within the Green Fleet Marine fleet projects
  • Assist Project Manager with the safe delivery of projects on schedule, to budget and to specification
  • Provide the engineering department with the technical needs and work closely to provide solution to the project’s technical challenges.
  • Drive schedule improvements to reduce delivery timeframe safely

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in related discipline required
  • Experience with Internal Combustion Engineering required
  • Project experience including the delivery of complex and multi discipline projects
  • Experience managing multiple contractor groups
  • Experience with project budgeting and cost control
  • OEM/Manufacturing experience preferred
