Principal Foundation Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible to the project manager and the Structural Engineering Department, in charge of the major engineering design work of Abu Dhabi Engineering Team, including but not limited the engineering plan, interface management, calculation and analysis, drawings and the reports.

Principal Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Work scope and technical requirements identification;
2. Take part in the technical clarification and prepare discipline proposals;
3. Interface management of major Engineering discipline;
4. Making plans for Engineering works according to the project requirements;
5. Responsible for the major Engineering works according to the project requirements;
6. Cooperate with other disciplines to finish the engineering works;
7. Responsible for preparation of major Engineering discipline’s weekly, monthly reports and other tables/reports for Engineering project;
8. Make sure all the major Engineering works are complied with Company’s QHSE requirements.
9. Special responsibility for Experienced Structural Engineer: in charge of the Jacket and Topside Structure engineering design
10. Special responsibility for Experienced Geotechnical & Foundation Engineer: in charge of the Geotechnical & Foundation engineering design

Education/Experience Requirements/ Certification

1. Bachelor degree or above;
2. Major in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering or structural engineering;
3. Familiar with the international standards for offshore structural engineering (API RP-2A, ISO 19901 etc.)

Special requirement for Structural engineer:

• Familiar with structural engineering works of offshore oil platform;
• Using SACS, AutoCAD softwares to perform structural engineering works;

Special requirement for Geotechnical and Foundation engineer:

• Familiar with Geotechnical and Foundation engineering works of offshore oil platform;
• Using GRLWeap, SACS, AutoCAD softwares to perform Geotechnical and Foundation engineering works.
