What are you going to do 

  • Perform mechanical design activities including equipment selection, technical calculations, and design verification.

  • Prepare, review, and approve mechanical engineering deliverables and technical documents.

  • Coordinate and communicate with overseas clients on mechanical design schemes and technical solutions.

  • Resolve mechanical discipline-related issues raised by clients during project execution.

  • Support procurement activities including preparation of technical tender documents, technical clarifications, and bid evaluations.

  • Review vendor drawings, data sheets, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.

  • Participate in vendor meetings and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as required.

  • Coordinate comment resolution and ensure timely close-out of technical queries.

  • Ensure all engineering work complies with applicable international standards, project specifications, and company procedures.

  • Carry out other related duties assigned by the client or project management team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore mechanical engineering design, including offshore platforms, FPSOs, and semi-submersible facilities.

  • Strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment used in offshore oil and gas facilities.

  • Familiar with international engineering standards including API and ASME.

  • Experience in EPC or engineering consultancy environments is preferred.

  • Able to support procurement engineering activities including technical bid evaluation and vendor document review.

  • Candidates with ASME Section VIII certification will have an added advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong sense of responsibility, able to work independently, and willing to support project deadlines when required.
