Introduction

We're seeking a Planning & Scheduling Lead III to work with a major Oil and Gas company located in Spring, TX on a contract position.

What are you going to do 

  • The Planning and Scheduling Lead (PL) is a specialist in project schedule development, control and forecasting. The PL assess Contractor and company generated schedules for usefulness, logic, level of detail, input sources, timing, lines of communication, and interfaces with other functional elements and consistency with Current Control Estimate, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and the Project Plan
  • Establishes the schedule requirements and frequencies of issue for all of the contractor schedule deliverables.
  • Strives for timely detection of trends and specifically deviations from the plan.
  • Develop Level 3 schedules using Primavera through collaboration with BU teams for overall well delivery lifecycle (from start of development through execution to production) and through leveraging scheduling database to build schedules.
  • Learn and develop skills to build schedules within EXECUTE, and or improve EXECUTE capabilities working with IT and other business contacts.
  • Track overall progress on weekly basis of well delivery activity through collaboration with BU teams.
  • Develop Level 3 schedules (Primavera) for Regulatory Permitting basis using pre-developed flow charts and collaboration with permitting team.
  • Track overall progress on weekly basis of permitting progress.
  • Provide weekly updates on overall integrated schedule performance and provide analysis and recommendations for BUs in overall planning and schedule control to maximize efficiency of operations while maintaining full life cycle value.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management
  • Prior oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Experience in Project Controls, Project Services and/or Planning/Scheduling
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Willing to work overseas in a team environment, relocate to project site as required
  • Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
  • Advanced competency in Primavera Project Planner (P6)
  • Adaptability to changing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
