Introduction

Exciting 12-month part-time/casual internship for TAFE students in Mechanical Engineering or related trade. What are you going to do 

  • Assist in routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical components including pumps, valves, engines, and rotating equipment.
  • Support the assembly and disassembly of tools and machinery under supervision.
  • Participate in equipment testing, calibration, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and logs for maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to company safety standards and protocols at all times.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with HSE regulations.
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to identify and resolve mechanical issues.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Currently enrolled in a TAFE program (Certificate III/IV or Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Machining, or a related trade.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical tools, machines, and workshop practices.
  • Willingness to learn and work in an industrial/oilfield environment.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Physically fit for workshop and/or field activities.
  • Availability to commit to a part-time internship
