Introduction

On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas sector, Brunel is presently sourcing a Master Data Specialist in the Contracts & Procurement Department. This will be a 12 month contract located in the Corporate Perth CBD office.

What are you going to do 

  • Processing new Cataloguing Requests and Change Requests
  • Provide governance of cataloguing requests, ensuring of consistency is maintained across the entire catalogue
  • Define material classification using item type definitions & class assignment templates
  • Provide advice to Business end users on all aspects related to cataloguing of differing parts and material types
  • Possible domestic travel to either Offshore/ Onshore locations as needs arise
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide reporting on progress and impediments of catalogue requests
  • Perform any related duties and responsibilities as and when required by Master Data Lead and/or Procurement Manager

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Superior experience and knowledge of MRO Cataloguing Standards including Auslang & Oniqua dictionary guidelines
  • Previous experience working in SAP Material Master Data
  • Overall knowledge of Plant Maintenance Master Data & Materials Management principles
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure managing multi-task scenarios
  • Resilient and enthusiastic within a highly agile working environment
  • Team-oriented, positively contributing to the group
  • Ability to resolve issues independently and proactively with minimal support
