Support the delivery of the Commercial management plan for the Onshore Project.
Liaise with project team personnel in technical and functional guidance on contract management. Maintain contact with other Management personnel and Functional Managers.
Understands key project drivers and context and can provide credible and practical commercial strategies and plans in a complex contractual environment.
Ensures project’s ability to avoid claims and to the extent they occur, be ready to manage them. His entails commercial performance by anticipating issues, avoiding situations that impact the project adversely and reducing the frequency of poor outcomes with EPC Contractors on a demanding megaproject.
What are you going to do
Implement and support compliance with Claims Avoidance and Management Procedure.
Support the Onshore Head of Claims in the management, evaluation and planning of claims avoidance and commercial management and provide input into material required for the LNG Major Projects organization, including in-depth assessments and actionable analysis.
Work with Delay analysts to conduct delay analyses required to support Company positioning in terms of response strategies to potential or active claims as the case may be.
Carry out Contract Entitlement Assessments and liaise with Legal to ensure alignment on assessment outcome.
Develop Internal and Company Position Papers along with associated engagements with respective issue stakeholders to drive alignment and unity in response.
Support Head of Claims to drive overall unified approach to common claims across EPCs enabling fair treatment, avoid precedent setting but also unifying the approach to all common claims.
Support the development of Post-Award Contract Management Strategies and Scenarios for EPC-1 Project.
Able to work in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures, as well as within a dynamic team that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance, requiring the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy, initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Project Management or Law.
Minimum of 8 years experience in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry, with exposure in business and contract management including project controls, cost and schedule development, tender preparation and contract management and 4 years being part of multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams and as Lead of Claims for megaprojects.
