We are seeking a skilled Lead Expeditor to manage expediting teams and ensure the timely delivery of critical materials and equipment that keep high-profile projects on track.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities:

  • As Lead Expeditor, you will oversee expediting teams and coordinate all activities to guarantee timely delivery of purchased items essential for project execution and operations.
  • Your responsibilities will cover all stages from purchase order issuance to the Release for Shipment (RFS), ensuring packages are completed, packed, and ready for logistics collection.
  • You will review and follow up on main and sub-deliveries, coordinate field expediting activities, monitor shipment schedules, and anticipate potential delays, recommending corrective measures to keep projects on track.
  • You will maintain and organise data within the Material Management System (MMS) for transparency and effective monitoring.
  • Liaising closely with the Operations Support Coordinator-Expediting and Package Managers, you will guide your team to meet project expectations and align deliverables with internal stakeholders.
  • Key tasks include participating in gate meetings, reviewing manufacturing and documentation schedules, monitoring purchase orders, coordinating field expeditors, and ensuring compliance with inspection and quality control plans.
  • You will also be responsible for vendor relations, shipment documentation review, and assisting Package Managers in closing out outstanding issues.
  • Field expediting visits may be required as per project needs.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 7+ years' expediting experience within the Oil & Gas sector, covering mechanical rotating, static equipment, mooring/marine equipment, and miscellaneous equipment disciplines
  • Proven track record in Field Expediting and experience on EPC projects
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, planning, or engineering is advantageous
  • Strong ability to work in multicultural environments
  • Competence in expediting, logistics, analytics, quality control plans, inspection and testing, purchasing tools and processes, package management, third-party relations, and negotiation
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with leadership experience
