Introduction

This is an amazing role for someone early in their drafting career who is eager to learn, contribute, and develop within a high-performing team.

Working closely with senior drafters, architects, project managers, and site teams, you will assist in delivering detailed, accurate documentation across modular, townhouse, and multi-residential developments.

What are you going to do 

  • Prepare detailed construction drawings and documentation packages
  • Assist in drafting modular and townhouse layouts, elevations, and sections
  • Amend and update plans in accordance with client and consultant feedback
  • Interpret architectural drawings, engineering details, and specifications
  • Coordinate documentation with consultants (structural, civil, services, etc.)
  • Ensure drawings comply with local building codes and regulations
  • Support project teams through design development to construction issue
  • Maintain drawing registers and version control
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve drafting and documentation queries
  • Assist with preparation of DA, CDC, and construction certificate documentation (where applicable)

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 1-2 years' experience in residential construction drafting
  • Experience working on townhouse, modular, or multi-residential projects highly regarded
  • Relevant qualification in Drafting, Building Design, or similar
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate documentation
  • Understanding of Australian building codes and residential construction methods
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Must be locally based
