What are you going to do 

  • Provide expert HR advice and coaching to line managers and site leadership on performance management, legislation, and employee relations.
  • Implement and oversee HR policies, processes, and standards, recommending improvements for best practice.
  • Lead and participate in key projects related to employee engagement, succession planning, and change management.
  • Develop and deliver training to all organizational levels to improve employee relations and proactive people management.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of current and proposed employment legislation.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field, or proven equivalent experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Substantial HR generalist or Employee Relations experience, with knowledge of legislation, performance management, and HR systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and sustain relationships at all levels.
  • Background in heavy industry, resources, or manufacturing sectors.
