We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Repairs Centre in Perth - a dedicated component rebuild workshop where precision and quality drive reliability.
As a Mechanical Fitter in our Repairs Centre, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient rebuild, overhaul, inspection, and repair of heavy mobile equipment components. Your work will directly support the mine site operations by ensuring the highest levels of quality, reliability, and availability.
Key Accountabilities include:
Disassembly, inspection, repair, and assembly of components (e.g. final drives, pump drives, brake packs, wheel hubs) to OEM specifications.
Precision measurement using micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and torque equipment.
Fault finding, root cause analysis, and feedback to reliability teams.
Accurate documentation of inspections, job records, and QA/QC processes.
Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives - safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
Mentoring apprentices and less experienced team members when required.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
