* Provide technical leadership and governance for all Rotating Equipment mainly GTG and GTC engineering activities across projects and operations, ensuring compliance and life cycle performance of Rotating machinery.* Responsible for coordinating with OES/OPCO all aspects of Rotating Equipment, especially GTG and GTC lessons learned to implement into design.
* Ensures technical requirements for all the rotating equipment-related deliverables (e.g. project specifications, data sheets, etc.) developed during detailed design fully comply with project deliverables and through effective collaborations and interfaces with contractors, vendors, LNG and Shareholders to ensure the rotating equipment and equipment scope of supply is fully integrated and optimized.* Responsible for the technical engagement with Contractor and Vendors during procurement activities to assist and ensure contractor timely deliver placement of all the equipment packages.
* Implements the delivery of Rotating Equipment, especially GTG & GTC design, through completing risk-based evaluations of complex technical issues, ensuring Compression deliverables are compliant with project requirements while meeting required LNG quality expectations.* Coordinates the delivery (content and timing) of Rotating Equipment systems in accordance with project requirements from Compression Contractor.
* Ensuring optimal delivery of relevant engineering deliverables related to GTG/GTC with much of the work involving close collaboration with Vendors and Contractor/s.* Risk based evaluation of complex technical issues that may have significant commercial impacts to overall project execution.
* Interface with other Projects and existing facilities* Works effectively within established policies and procedures and participates in the further development of these to meet changing needs.
* Demonstrates effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.* Works in a dynamic team environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in Safety, Quality, Cost and Schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy, initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills.
* Understands organizational authority and seeks appropriate line management approvals.* Able to work in a defined role with limited supervision and guidance from the Compression Project PMT / Engineering Managers.
* Ability to work in a multi-faced/ multi-national organizational matrix with a variety of working relationships/ interfaces.* Mentor and contribute to the development of Qatari employees
* Provides engineering leadership and expertise while supervising and administering Rotating team.* Provides Rotating Equipment including GTG/GTC knowledge, design, quality assurance and expertise while overseeing the Rotating Equipment aspects of the contract ensuring project deliverables and schedule are met.
* Directs the preparation and stewardship of Rotating Equipment scope of work in contract, advises and recommends design procedures, processes deliverables and alternative studies, as required, to optimize project cost and schedule.* Responsible for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with LNG Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and LNG Project Management System.
* Manages Contractor's Rotating Equipment activities including validation of personnel numbers, qualifications and experience; usage of appropriate design tools, including computer hardware and software; adherence with all project objectives, requirements, specifications, standards, procedures, execution plans and design verification processes.* Assesses and validates contractor capability in providing all contract documents, progress measurement and reporting and recommends additional technical support to address gaps and manages the technical attachments and scope descriptions to all Rotating Equipment engineering contracts and the delivery time to all purchase orders.
* All the Long Lead Equipment identified by Contractor.* Develop, review and amend various policies and procedures to ensure that all mechanical engineering references are up to date and relevant.
* Supports Engineering Manager in monitoring the Vendor and Contractor's progress on delivery of the required documents in the Rotating Engineering disciplines.* General understanding of multi discipline engineering (mechanical/piping/ instrumentation /etc.) and ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
* Accountable for being knowledgeable of lessons learned from previous projects with the same contractor and capturing and communicating GTG/GTC engineering and design lessons learned for the current project.
