Introduction

What are you going to do 

Electrical Engineer supporting electrical infrastructure planning for oil and gas expansion and operations in the Permian. Review and provide feedback on discipline engineering work completed both internally and by contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with Company specifications, corporate standards, and regulatory requirements. Support the efficient execution of engineering and design activities that align with team objectives, goals, and procedures. Maintain clear, accurate, and timely communication among team members and other company functions regarding engineering activities, progress, and challenges. In addition to technical expertise, the role requires strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Allocating new electrical loads to existing and planned infrastructure assets.
  • Coordinating the prioritization of electrical construction projects based on new load requirements.
  • Tracking and reporting the progress and readiness of electrical projects.
  • Evaluating and recommending opportunities to combine or optimize electrical loads.

In addition to all Level 1 responsibilities, a Level 2 employee will:

  • Apply engineering theories, mathematical calculations, and industry methodologies to the design of electrical systems.
  • Participate in research and development initiatives to create solutions or support the development of new products.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • +5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
  • Advanced understanding of discipline-specific design standards, specifications, codes, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines, high workloads, and shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, particularly for technical and business communications.
  • Permian Basin experience is preferred.
