Introduction

As an Electrical & Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for performing Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning on various types of electrical equipment, instrument/ control system and telecommunication. You will also be required to ensure relevant activities Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What are you going to do 

  • Perform Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning on various types of electrical equipment, instrument/ control system and telecommunication, including but not limited to:
    • Electrical (HV/LV Switchgear, Transformer, EDG, AC/DC UPS, Battery, Electrical Panel)
    • Instrument/ Control System (ICSS verification, loop test, function test)
    • Telecommunication (PAGA, Fire Alarm System, Security System)
  • Follow safety and industry standards, especially in hazardous environments such as oil & gas facilities.
  • Ensure relevant activities Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Education:

  • Senior High School, Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation or related fields.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in plant/ manufacturing maintenance or project of electrical equipment and instrument/ control system.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical & instrument measurement devices (e.g., multimeter, HART comm, Hi-Pot Test).
  • Experience in installation and testing of electrical equipment and instrument/ control system.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of electrical, instrument and control system.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, Single Line Diagram, P&ID and operation manuals.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, instrument, control system troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
