Introduction

Brunel International is a leading provider of Oil Field Services and is currently looking for an experienced Drilling Safety Officer to join our CTD Project in Kuwait. This is a 90/30 rotation role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment onsite.

What are you going to do 

  • The Drilling Safety Officer will be responsible for providing safety guidance and advice to personnel onsite, as well as developing, implementing, and monitoring safety procedures;
  • The successful candidate will also be required to ensure that all personnel comply with safety regulations, investigate any incidents or accidents that occur onsite, and develop strategies to prevent future incidents;
  • The Drilling Safety Officer will also be responsible for conducting regular inspections of equipment and facilities, providing training to personnel on safety procedures, preparing reports on any incidents or accidents that occur onsite, and liaising with other departments regarding safety matters.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field;
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role;
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve effectively;
  • Fluency in English (verbal & written);
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
