Introduction

Our client with more than 30 years experience within the underground mining field is currently looking for multiple Drill Fitters to join their team!

Details:

  • Location - FIFO from Perth TO Kalgoorlie
  • Roster - flexible rosters on offer
  • Pay rates - $75 to $95/hour + super based on previous experience

What are you going to do 

Duties:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing of underground mobile mining equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and diesel-related faults.
  • Perform breakdown maintenance and fault finding.
  • Complete component change-outs, repairs and overhauls as required.
  • Conduct inspections and identify potential equipment issues before failures occur.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant documentation.
  • Work safely and in accordance with site procedures, maintenance standards and statutory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the underground maintenance and operations teams.
  • Provide effective troubleshooting and technical support to maintain equipment availability.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Previous Sandvik experience
  • Previous underground mining experience essential
  • A Heavy Diesel Mechanic/HD Fitter/Mobile Plant Technician Trade Qualification
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing underground mobile mining equipment.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, diesel and mechanical systems.
