Introduction

Brunel is partnered with a leading resources organisation on a contract opportunity for a Data Analyst. This role is well suited to someone with experinece across Databricks SQL workflows and delivering Power BI reporting in a mining environment.

What are you going to do 

We're seeking an Analyst to support operational reporting and analytics. You'll work across SQL and Databricks to optimise existing notebooks, maintain reporting integrity, and help develop new performance dashboards, including future reporting for contractor mining actuals vs plan.

Key Duties:

  • Review and optimise existing SQL Databricks notebooks.
  • Update SQL code and submit changes for peer review.
  • Ensure enhancements do not impact existing reporting outputs.
  • Support development of new and improved operational performance reports and dashboards.
  • Assist with building future reporting for contractor mining actuals vs plan.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Strong SQL capability.
  • Experience working with Databricks.
  • Power BI experience, including DAX.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Mining operational data reporting experience.
  • Strong understanding of mining terminology.
  • Ability to build sustainable, long-term reporting solutions.
