What are you going to do 

  • Lead end-to-end project controls across cost, schedule, risk and reporting functions
  • Oversee project forecasting, budgeting and performance tracking across multiple projects
  • Drive consistency in weekly and monthly reporting across business units
  • Support Project Managers and Finance with cashflow forecasting and financial insights
  • Identify project risks, trends and variances, implementing corrective actions where required
  • Maintain governance frameworks and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
  • Improve reporting systems, data quality and processes (ERP / BI tools)
  • Mentor and develop project controls personnel, promoting a data-driven culture
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide insights and influence business performance

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
  • 10+ years' experience in project controls within civil, infrastructure, resources or Defence sectors
  • Minimum 6 years proven leadership experience managing teams and driving performance
  • Strong planning capability with hands-on experience in Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Solid understanding of cost control, forecasting and reporting frameworks
  • Experience delivering process improvements or system implementations
  • Strong knowledge of contract conditions, risk management and value engineering
  • Australian working rights required
