Introduction

What are you going to do 

  • Lead the commercial delivery of the project, working closely with the Delivery teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Oversee the full subcontract lifecycle, including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, progress claims and final accounts.
  • Review and negotiate subcontract agreements while ensuring contractual compliance throughout the project.
  • Mentor and lead the onsite commercial team, providing guidance and support to Contracts Administrators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, clients and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasting, budgets and cash flow, while identifying and managing commercial risk.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 5+ years' experience as a Senior Contract Administrator or Contracts Manager in Commercial Construction
  • Proven experience in large commercial projects upwards of $60 million
  • Must have Australian experience for market knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, construction contracts, and commercial risk management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage high-value projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or a related discipline
