What are you going to do 

Our client, a leading organization in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Manager to join their dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. In this pivotal role, you will oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up processes, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with client standards, timelines and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities, ensuring project systems are safely delivered, fully operational and compliant with client specifications, HSE Standards and project timelines.
  • Develop and implement the overall commissioning strategy, execution plan, and schedule.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary commissioning teams (Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Process).
  • Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and performance testing activities.
  • Ensure Mechanical Completion (MC), system handover and final acceptance processes are achieved.
  • Interface with client, engineering, construction, QA/QC and operations teams.
  • Review and approve commissioning procedures, method statements and system test documentation.
  • Manage punch list (A/B/C) closure and ensure system readiness.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, ADNOC/client standards and international codes.
  • Monitor and report commissioning progress, KPIs, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for equipment commissioning and troubleshooting.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Chemical).
  • Relevant Experience: 15+ Years.
  • Extensive experience in EPC and/or EPCM project execution.
  • Prior experience as Commissioning Manager on large-scale projects.
  • ADNOC & GCC experience is mandatory.
