Introduction

What are you going to do 

Our client is looking for an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to support major brownfield and greenfield projects in the Downstream / Midstream Oil & Gas sector, primarily onshore.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and review civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, US/Canadian codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate existing structures, foundations, and conceptual designs for feasibility and constructability.
  • Coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Review design deviations and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in Civil / Structural Engineering; B.E./B.Tech candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
  • 15-20 years of industry experience in major brownfield/greenfield Downstream / Midstream projects.
  • Strong experience in onshore projects; offshore exposure is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Canadian codes and cold-weather design requirements.
  • Experience in structural and foundation analysis, including existing structure evaluation.
  • Proficiency in STAAD, SACS, ETABS, MAT3D, or similar software.
  • Strong technical, analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 15-20 years of experience in Civil / Structural Engineering.
  • Experience in major brownfield and greenfield Downstream / Midstream Oil & Gas projects.
  • Strong onshore project experience; offshore exposure is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of US/Canadian codes and cold-weather design requirements.
  • Proficient in STAAD, SACS, ETABS, or similar structural design software.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
