Introduction

Brunel Papua New Guinea are seeking a Anchor Manufacturing Supervisor/ Leading Hand to undertake a major project with one of our Construction clients, servicing an International Mining Operator in PNG. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a world class mine on a FIFO basis.

What are you going to do 

You will be responsible for the provision of ‘hands-on’ leadership that enables the team to deliver; safe, efficient and compliant fabrication and repair services to the client onsite. We are looking for those with commercial / Industrial heavy fabrication experience. Must have Anchor Stressing experience.You will show active involvement in the continuous improvement of the process as well as manage the team’s workflow to ensure deadlines are achieved.

Compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy and Procedures.

This Project is the first stage of a large scope of work at the client site. This is a large slope stabilisation project to enable mining operations in a culturally sensitive area.

Current scope of work will continue through until approximately December 2023, however as this is only the first stage of a potentially much larger scope of work, there is the opportunity for growth and extension.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements: Must have 5 – 10 years proven experience in a similar role• Proven Anchor experience and supervision experience of an Anchor team• Relevant trade certificates
Meet all requirements for PNG work permit visa• Previous experience working in international and cross-cultural environments favourableBenefits:
