What are you going to do 

Join a leading engineering and defence organisation supporting large-scale marine and shipbuilding projects in Henderson. We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Administration Assistant to provide day-to-day support to busy project and operational teams.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things organised and running smoothly.

  • Providing general administrative support to project and operational teams
  • Coordinating meetings, calendars, room bookings and catering
  • Preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes and distributing action items
  • Maintaining project registers, records and documentation
  • Assisting with reports, correspondence and data entry
  • Coordinating travel and accommodation bookings for staff
  • Supporting onboarding and induction activities
  • Managing filing systems and document control through SharePoint

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Previous experience in an Administration Assistant, Team Assistant or Project Support role
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills and a professional approach
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy team environment
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative
  • Experience within engineering, construction, defence or industrial environments is highly regarded
  • Certificate level 2 - Business Office Administration would be highly regarded
