Introduction

Are you looking to contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale offshore wind projects? We are seeking a WTG Engineer (Electrical) to support the engineering, electrical integration, and commissioning of offshore wind turbine systems from a developer's perspective. In this role, you will work closely with OEMs, grid connection teams, and key project stakeholders to ensure compliance, seamless integration, and successful project execution.

What are you going to do 

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities for offshore wind turbine systems
  • Drive the electrical integration of WTG systems and third-party equipment into the overall project design
  • Review engineering, grid compliance, certification, and commissioning documentation provided by OEMs
  • Coordinate technical interfaces between WTG suppliers, EPC contractors, grid connection teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Support grid compliance testing, energisation activities, and discussions with Transmission System Operators (TSOs)
  • Contribute to risk management, readiness reviews, and the successful handover of turbine systems to operations and maintenance teams (O&M)

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
  • Proven experience within offshore wind, wind turbine generator (WTG) packages, or grid connection projects
  • Strong understanding of MV/LV systems, grid compliance requirements, and relevant industry standards
  • Experience managing interfaces with OEMs, EPC contractors, TSOs, and other key stakeholders
