Brunel Australasia is partnering with one of the worlds premier petroleum and petrochemical companies to source an experienced Warehouse Operator.

What are you going to do 

As a key member of our clients warehouse team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operational execution of warehouse activities including the operation of storage facilities, onsite inventories and transaction processes required to support operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various general manual labor tasks in a warehouse environment, including lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading vehicles, and other activities as needed to support warehouse operations.
  • Execute day-to-day warehouse activities, including goods receiving, issuing, storage, and other basic warehouse functions.
  • Operate with a strong focus on safety, security, and controls performance, adhering to global standards.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures, controls, and the Procurement Warehouse Handbook.
  • Assist in administrative activities to support operations, such as updating ERP systems, maintaining spreadsheets and databases, and other relevant tasks.
  • Regularly communicate with Business Unit Clients, Procurement Colleagues, and Suppliers to address day-to-day operational needs.
  • Work under moderate work direction, identifying and escalating issues or problems as needed.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and seek assistance in resolving complex issues.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Strong safety, security and controls awareness
  • Extensive knowledge in Warehouse Management / Materials Distribution and Inventory Control requirements/basic standards
  • Sound knowledge with SAP R/3 and general warehousing technologies
  • Very strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface Clients, Procurement Colleagues and Suppliers
  • Proficient in Microsoft application (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
