What are you going to do 

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care across a varied caseload, including urgent and emergency presentations
  • Independently manage cases from diagnostics through treatment planning and follow-up
  • Perform routine and more advanced surgical and dental procedures with confidence
  • Collaborate with clinic team members to support strong patient outcomes and client care
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients to support understanding and continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold clinical and regulatory standards
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
  • 3-7 years of clinical experience in small animal practice
  • Eligible for or currently holding a Private Practice license in British Columbia
  • Strong proficiency in surgery and dentistry, with confidence managing complex cases
  • Comfortable handling urgent or emergency cases as part of daily workflow
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and client-focused approach
