Brunel International is seeking experienced Underground (UG) Production Long Hole Drillers to join our dynamic team operating in beautiful Papua New Guinea. If you are skilled in operating Epiroc Simba long hole production drill rigs and thrive in challenging underground mining environments, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career on a FIFO roster.

What are you going to do 

As an UG Production Long Hole Driller, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating Epiroc Simba long hole production drill rigs to support underground mining operations. You will ensure accurate drilling of production holes according to plan, maintain equipment in excellent working order, and collaborate with site teams to meet production targets. Your role is critical in maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced underground mining environment.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating Epiroc Simba long hole production drill rigs in underground mining
  • Competency in UG production drilling techniques and procedures
  • Understanding of mining health and safety regulations and ability to work safely in underground environments
  • Ability to work a FIFO roster based in Papua New Guinea
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Relevant mining tickets and certifications as required by PNG mining regulations
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions underground
