What are you going to do 

As a Travel Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all travel arrangements for our FIFO workforce operating in Papua New Guinea mine site. Your role will ensure efficient mobilisation and demobilisation processes, compliance with local and international travel regulations, and effective communication with all stakeholders. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and service providers to maintain smooth travel operations, minimise downtime, and support project timelines.

Key responsibilities include: - Planning, coordinating, and executing travel schedules for FIFO personnel in PNG.
- Liaising with airlines, travel agents, and accommodation providers to secure optimal arrangements. - Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and immigration requirements specific to PNG.
- Managing travel documentation and permits for personnel. - Monitoring travel budgets and reporting on travel activities.
- Responding promptly to travel disruptions or emergencies. - Collaborating with HR and project management teams to align travel plans with operational needs.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Proven experience in travel coordination or superintendent roles within FIFO operations, preferably in PNG or similar remote locations.
  • Strong understanding of Papua New Guinea's travel, immigration, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in travel management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Australian work rights or valid visa to work in PNG.
  • Flexibility to work FIFO roster patterns.
  • Relevant qualifications in logistics, travel management, or related fields are advantageous.
