Introduction

  • Performs with the contractors in carrying out the routine maintenance, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis, testing, overhauling of all types of motors for hazardous environment, mobile electrical equipment, and other electrical equipment in the workshop.
  • Reports to: SENIOR WORKSHOP ENGINEER

What are you going to do 

  • Directs subordinates and participates in carrying out complete overhauls of pumps, instrument air

    compressors, diesel engine, gear box, valves, safety relief valve and heat exchanger.

  • Tabulates critical as found and final clearance measurements and tolerances during the overhaul of

    plant equipment.

  • Using manufacturer's parts lists, instruction manuals and drawings, assesses requirements for spare

    parts and obtain them from stores using standard procedures.

  • Cleans and maintains in good order special tools and equipment.
  • Carries out other similar or related duties such as trouble shooting on maintenance faults, keeping the

    work area tidy, giving on-the-job training to less experienced technicians.

  • Carry out test run and preventive maintenance for all Mobile Equipment and Workshop equipment such as stationery and mobile air compressor, generators, lighting tower and pumps.
  • Carry out standby (callout) duties.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Completion of higher secondary school (12 years) education, followed by 3 years full time training or Diploma in electrical Engineering / Maintenance.
  • Good in oral and in written English communication skill, and experience of working under hazardous environmental are other requirements.
  • Knowledge of micro-compressor-based generator control units is also preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in installation, maintenance, repair, overhauling of low voltage and medium voltage motors, MOV, mobile electrical equipment in Petrochemical industry.
  • Qatar Driving License - Light Vehicles Driving License Mandatory.
