Introduction

Brunel is recruiting an experienced Supply Base Lead to oversee the logistics and materials-management hub supporting a major Oil & Gas Operator in regional Queensland. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across the supply base. Working closely with Internal Operations, Maintenance and Supply Chain Teams, 12 month contract.

What are you going to do 

  • Ensure Goal Zero safety performance and compliance with all HSSE and operational standards
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the Supply Base Operator, driving efficiency, compliance, and value delivery
  • Manage operational planning, budgeting, and contractor performance, ensuring timely and cost-effective materials support
  • Oversee logistics and warehouse processes to ensure accuracy in inventory, reporting, and KPI management
  • Strengthen collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to ensure a first-time-right service culture
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, driving safety, efficiency, and operational excellence

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering OR a related discipline
  • Proven experience leading supply base, logistics or warehouse operations within the Oil & Gas or Energy sector
  • Strong understanding of Safety Leadership (HSSE), contractor management, and inventory control
  • 'Hands-on' experience with SAP RtP, Maximo WMS or similar logistics systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and team-leadership skills
  • Commitment to operational excellence, compliance and continuous improvement
