What are you going to do 

We are reaching out about an exciting opportunity with our client, a leading player in the oil and gas sector, who is seeking a Structural Mooring Designer to join our client's team on a temporary basis in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective structural engineering solutions for FPSO, turret mooring, renewable, and life-extension projects, working closely with multiple disciplines, vendors, and third parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform offshore structural design, analysis, and calculations.
  • Develop and optimize engineering solutions in line with project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with international codes, industry standards, regulations, and company requirements.
  • Plan and deliver engineering activities and documents within agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines, vendors, subcontractors, and third parties.
  • Manage system interfaces and apply relevant lessons learned.
  • Support transportation and lifting calculations when required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Ocean Engineering.
  • 3-10 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Offshore project experience is required.
  • Experience in Mooring & Risers, Subsea Engineering, Lifting, Site Engineering, or Transportation is an advantage.

Software

  • Strong knowledge of FEA/FEM tools, preferably FEMAP or equivalent.
  • Genie or equivalent software knowledge is an advantage.
