What are you going to do 

Brunel Energy is recruiting a SSHE Coordinator to work with a major oil and gas company on a 12-month contract in Williston, ND.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide field-facing SSHE support for gas plant and upstream operations.
  • Support SSHE activities across gas plants, compressor stations, and production stations, with a strong focus on day-to-day production operations.
  • Understand and support PSM-covered facilities and their safety programs, providing coaching and guidance to contractors and employees.
  • Coach field personnel and contractors on SSHE expectations, safety procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Support operations and maintenance activities, as well as smaller construction projects within operational facilities.
  • Learn and apply the company's Upstream Safety Manual and related safety requirements.
  • Work closely with field and operations teams to promote consistent application of SSHE programs and procedures across multiple facilities.
  • Spend more than 50% of your time in the field, working directly with operations, maintenance, contractors, and site personnel.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field is required.
  • 4-5 years of field-based SSHE, HSE, EHS, or safety experience is required.
  • Experience supporting PSM-covered facilities, preferably within gas plants, upstream operations, or similar industrial environments, is preferred.
  • Experience with TapRooT® or other root cause analysis methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong ability to coach and communicate safety expectations with field personnel, contractors, and employees.
  • Ability to work primarily in the field and support operations and maintenance activities across multiple facilities.
