Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an SMP supervisor to join their team on site in Chinchilla in QLD. This is a senior position and will ensure construction activities will be executed safetly and on time. This position will be offered on a 15/13 or 10/4 roster. Some domestic travel will be required for this position.

What are you going to do

Lead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors across brownfield and greenfield scopes, ensuring safe and efficient execution in line with HSE standards and site procedures.
Coordinate with operations, engineering, and project management teams to resolve field issues, clarify scope, and provide constructability and technical support.
Plan, track, and report on construction progress, including schedules, daily reports, KPIs, and productivity metrics.
Ensure compliance with quality assurance, land access, cultural heritage, environmental, and stakeholder requirements.
Drive workforce engagement and performance through toolbox talks, pre-starts, audits, and adherence to company HR and safety policies.

Essential skills and knowledge

Extensive experience in the oil and gas sector
Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in a supervisory role within construction/ project industry.
Trade-qualified with a strong technical foundation relevant to brownfield and Greenfield project execution.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and effective troubleshooting in complex field environments.
Proven track record in leading teams and managing both direct labour and contractor resources to deliver construction outcomes safely and efficiently.
Experienced in managing contractors in accordance with service contracts, ensuring compliance with scope, performance standards, and contractual obligations.
