Introduction

Brunel is seeking a Service Engineering Specialist to support technical documentation processes related to Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) activities for gas turbines. The successful candidate will be responsible for authoring and verifying repair documents that support turbine maintenance operations and component lifecycle management.

What are you going to do 

  • Create and verify Repair & Overhaul (R&O) documentation including:
    • Repair Schemes
    • Parts Cleaning and Inspection (PCI)
    • Special Inspection Procedures (SIP)
    • Engine Management Programs (EMP)
  • Interpret technical drawings and component specifications to create clear documentation.
  • Apply engineering knowledge to define appropriate inspection and repair methods for gas turbine components.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established repair standards.
  • Deliver documentation based on shifting priorities throughout the year; adapt to evolving engineering needs.
  • Utilize multiple platforms to manage and author documents, including MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality expectations and align with documented repair engineering processes.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for membership.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with maintenance, repair, or overhaul of gas turbines.
  • Strong knowledge of gas turbine components, technical drawings, and operating principles.
  • Proficient in:
    • Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, MS Access
    • Salesforce, SharePoint, OneDrive
    • PLM2020, Globus
  • Familiarity with repair engineering practices including cleaning, inspection, and repair techniques.
