Introduction

What are you going to do 

Reporting to the Geospatial Manager and Project Managers, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate survey outcomes across major civil projects while mentoring Surveyors and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Surveyors and subcontract survey teams on site.
  • Deliver construction set-out, topographic, as-built and end-of-month surveys.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support project delivery.
  • Produce accurate survey models, reports and project data.
  • Manage and maintain surveying equipment and calibration requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver surveying solutions.
  • Mentor junior and graduate surveyors to build capability within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements and project specifications.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 7+ years' experience in bulk earthworks or civil infrastructure surveying.
  • Previous experience leading survey teams on major civil projects.
  • Strong capability using Total Stations, GPS/GNSS and surveying software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and provide technical guidance on site.
  • Australian working rights and a current Driver's Licence.
  • White Card and relevant surveying qualification (Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma preferred).
