Introduction

What are you going to do 

  • Assume responsibility and represent the road design department for all aspects to pavement engineering.
  • Provide leadership in all relevant departmental functions.
  • Lead external & internal coordination pertinent to pavement engineering.
  • Review, comment / recommend acceptance or otherwise of related consultants' submissions.
  • Responsible for preparation / review of value engineering reports for all pavement structures.
  • Comprehensive responsibility for management and control of related functions in-house projects, including detailed scope definition and initiation, work progress and completion and staff management.
  • Performance of actual design duties as directed.
  • Performance of other related duties as per management instructions.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • BSc/BEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable institute.
  • 15 years of demonstrable experience in design & construction of pavement structures and satisfactory exposure to related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience with management capacity
  • Proven proficiency in the latest pavement technologies and state-of-the-art theories including mechanistic and semi-empirical.
  • In depth knowledge of American & British standards related to pavement engineering.
  • Excellent in written & spoken communication in English.
  • Excellent management, problem-solving, communication, & negotiation skills.
