Introduction

Join Woodside as a Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer, supporting major projects, brownfields and operating assets. You'll provide key technical expertise across materials, inspection and integrity, influencing outcomes across a global portfolio while working closely with project and operational teams.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide specialist technical expertise across materials, corrosion, coatings, welding & inspection
  • Support projects, brownfields and operating assets across Woodside's global portfolio
  • Deliver materials, inspection & corrosion scopes including planning, prioritisation and execution
  • Prepare and review technical deliverables (designs, specifications, scopes, MOC documentation)
  • Support contractors and vendors through design, procurement, fabrication & construction phases
  • Resolve complex engineering and operational materials / corrosion issues
  • Work closely with project teams, operations, SMEs and technical authorities
  • Contribute to integrity management, process safety and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in Materials Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong oil & gas / energy sector background
  • Proven experience across projects, brownfields & operating assets
  • Deep knowledge of industry codes, standards & regulatory requirements
  • Experience with coatings, NDT, pressure equipment & inspection
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and technical leadership capability
  • Certifications (API, NACE or similar) highly regarded
  • Must have full Australian Working Rights
