What are you going to do 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day production activities to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances, supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and traceability records from raw materials through to finished goods
  • Operate, inspect, and perform routine cleaning of processing equipment, including spray dryers and milling systems
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet HACCP, GMP, and internal specifications
  • Adjust and monitor key process parameters to optimize efficiency, consistency, and yield
  • Follow established sanitation, hygiene, and safety procedures to minimize contamination risk and maintain a safe work environment

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Process Operations, Chemical Engineering Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline
  • Prior experience in QA/QC within a manufacturing or processing environment (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or agricultural preferred)
  • Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP, SQF, or GFSI is considered an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with automated processing equipment High attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify and document quality issues
