Introduction

We are excited to present an exceptional opportunity to join our client's team as a Project Procurement Lead based in the Netherlands. In this pivotal role, you will oversee procurement and supply chain activities for specific project packages in the oil and gas sector. The role is offered on a temporary 12-month renewable contract, working within a hybrid setup in Rotterdam (3 days in the office).

What are you going to do 

  • Developing and implementing Procurement and Tendering Strategies, ensuring alignment with lessons learned and team input.
  • Leading commercial and contractual negotiations in collaboration with relevant team members.
  • Managing supplier relationships for optimal collaboration and performance improvement.
  • Monitoring and ensuring alignment of vendor activities with project priorities and timelines.
  • Providing continuous feedback on vendor performance and proactively managing risks.
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, control costs, and support long-term objectives.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Strong background in supply chain package management for complex projects, including offshore, onshore, or subsea equipment.
  • Proven expertise in contract management and negotiation for high-value technical contracts.
  • Experience in using ERP systems and supply chain management software for efficient tracking.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards and procurement compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams under time-sensitive conditions.
