Project Interface Lead

Manage overall “External” and “Internal” interfaces & communications of the project. Interface with different contracting parties, consultants, owners, government bodies and existing facilities in coordination.

• Responsible to coordinate, prepare & make representation to relevant committees, local authorities, utility companies and ministries on behalf of the project for obtaining necessary approvals and maintain compliance with Local Authority requirements;
• Responsible for development of specific project interface management plan, interface register and an interface reporting systems and performance indicators to ensure projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and in accordance with the agreed project requirements;
• Responsible for identification of interfaces and implementation of Interfaces related tasks in consultation with Project team; Furthermore, initiate, coordinate and sign-off on interfaces definitions RFI/Note/agreements, as applicable, before interface Closeout;
• Responsible for coordinating negotiate and manage complicated interface issues with relevant stakeholders through different project phases;
• Responsible for Coordinating and preparing the following, as required:
• Department reports and presentations with internal & external stakeholders;
• Department inputs into annual budget and monitor budget performance;
• Department inputs into procedures review and updates;
• Coordinate meetings/presentations with other COMPANY Departments and external bodies on behalf of the project team to address and resolve project issues;
• Responsible for leading department level risk management and activities including preparing and maintaining project risk register for ERM level risks;
• Responsible for leading department level lesson learnt activities including preparing and updating lesson learned registers;
• Assist and mentor Qatari Engineers with their assigned development program and supervise their progress.

• B.Sc. Degree or Higher in an Engineering discipline from any recognized University; Experience of at least 5 years as interface manager/lead;
• A minimum of twelve (12) years relevant experience in engineering, project management and execution of oil & gas or utility industry projects;
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering body and/or project management association/institution would be advantageous;
• Experience managing projects as the Client / Owner, preferably with an IOC;
• Effective communication and team building skills including presentation, report writing and management of meetings;
• Experience in interfacing/coordinating multidisciplinary discipline engineers and supporting functions during feasibility and concept optimization studies, FEED and EPIC stages of the project;
• Experience in managing and coordinating all project interfaces to ensure project execution as per approved schedule and scope of work;
• Effective communication and team building skills including presentation, report writing and management of meetings;
• Knowledge of English is essential for this position; Also, knowledge of Arabic language is preferred;
• Keep abreast of current regulations of Local, National, and regional authorities, international conventions, and practices.

Salary:

Day Rate in QAR Plus Allowance
