Introduction

This position supports the financial management of a significant road restoration initiative in regional NSW. The project aims to rebuild critical transport infrastructure damaged by drought, bushfires, and flooding. As part of a project management consultancy, you'll provide essential financial expertise to help deliver this vital community asset on time and budget.

What are you going to do 

  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance processes for the project
  • Operate and support financial systems including TechnologyOne and reporting tools
  • Coordinate financial claims and reporting with government funding bodies
  • Liaise with project management, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with financial system upgrades, troubleshooting, and training for project staff
  • Prepare regular financial status reports and support risk and performance monitoring
  • Support overall financial governance aligned with project and client requirements

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or relevant experience
  • Experience in corporate financial systems and project accounting
  • Strong skills in budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within consultancy teams
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Current driver's license
  • Experience with TechnologyOne or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Knowledge of government funding and Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements desirable
  • Postgraduate qualifications or professional memberships (CPA, CA, IPA) advantageous
