Procurement QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical – Rotating Equipment

Job Summary

Participate in the engineering, procurement, and manufacturing process of static equipment, such as Pressure Vessels, Atmospheric Tanks, Heat Exchangers etc , from RFQ to shipment, control and manage vendor quality issues (TBE, PO, KOM, PIM, weekly meeting, and manufacturing, In-progress Inspection, Pressure Test, FAT, Final Inspection, etc.).

Responsibilities

• To become familiar with the company's requirements
• Support the procurement department and participate in various meetings with the Vendor/Company to ensure the product packages are met and compliance with the project specifications / Standard and Code requirements.
• Attend KOM / Organize of PIM and prepare the quality section of the KOM slide.
• Review and comment on vendor documents (ITP, MPS, FAT procedure, report, etc.)
• Communicate with the vendor/COMPANY regarding controversial comments or feedback, and raise a clarification meeting if necessary.
• Proactively liaise with the TPC coordinator and update the vendor package progress status information toEngineering/Procurement and Client
• Verify NOI readiness and forward to the TPC coordinator for vendor inspection
• Review and comment TPC inspection report
• Manage the NCR if discrepancies are identified and expedite the vendor's resolution proposal / RCA(If necessary) within 3 working days of receiving the NCR from the vendor.
• Review the manufacturer's record book / As-built dossier.

Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Should have min five years and above (5) experience directly relating to the Quality Assurance procurement execution and vendor inspection activities.
• Shall have knowledge and understanding of ISO-9001 quality system requirements and implementation.
• Shall demonstrate working knowledge of international standards and codes required by the purchase order, such as API, ASME II / V / VIII / IX, etc.
• Availability of certification of CSWIP3.1 or AWS-CWI or IWE and NDT qualification will be added value
