We’re hiring Port control Officer for one of our Leading MNC in Oil & Gas to join their growing team. This position is based out in Hazira.

What are you going to do 

Position: Port control Officer;

YOE: 2 Years;

Contract: On Contract;

Location: Hazira;

Job Description:

  • Port Control Watch – Visual, Radar, AIS and VHF etc.;
  • Maintaining communication (internal and external);
  • Vessel traffic scheduling, monitoring and guidance;
  • AHPPL traffic scheduling, monitoring and record keeping;
  • Harbour craft scheduling, monitoring, activity check and control;
  • Port Control general upkeep and equipment upkeep;
  • Security vigil visual and Radar/AIS;
  • Knowledge of Port Operating Procedures and Emergency Response Plans;
  • Activate first Emergency Response for port emergencies;
  • Maintaining records and logbooks;
  • Active liaison with Harbour Master and Pilots;
  • Active coordination with neighboring Marine operations;
  • Active liaison with site security, medical staff and terminal operations.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Following shall be the Qualification and Experience of the individuals, who shall be deployed to man the Port Control Tower;
  • The minimum requirement for the manning staff is GMDSS certification, valid Radar Observer’s Course certification and operational knowledge of bridge equipment;
  • Work experience of two years in a port control manning or as an officer on board tugs or ships is a prerequisite;
  • Good communication skills and working knowledge of English and Hindi is a must;
  • Also required is working knowledge of handling computers and the MS office Suite.
