Plant Manager

Responsible for managing and optimizing site manufacturing, technical, and engineering operations to meet company objectives and ensure compliance with HSE standards. This includes implementing policies and SOPs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring operational efficiency in terms of labor, materials, and energy costs. Improving productivity, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency while meeting KPIs.
Strategic Planning & Oversight: Plan and monitor daily business operations to ensure seamless progress and regularly evaluate procedural efficiency against organizational objectives.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, develop, coach, and engage the Site Management Team. Implement succession planning, appraise performance, and provide constructive feedback.
Resource & Cost Management: Coordinate material and resource allocation to minimize variances, manage site operational financial budgets for efficient resource utilization, and develop year-on-year cost reduction projects using continuous improvement tools.
HSE & Quality Assurance: Ensure excellent country-wide management of HSE activities with a focus on "zero accidents," safeguarding common law and statutory requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement site strategies that create and sustain a genuine "world-class operations environment" to support commercial functions.
Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships and agreements with external partners and vendors.
Plant Operations: Oversee and control all activities related to plant operations and maintenance.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Polymer, Production, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in an operational leadership role.
Industry Expertise: Proven experience in uPVC, Extrusion/Injection molding, or other plastics manufacturing environments.
Technical Acumen: Strong technical and operational knowledge of PVC & Polymer compounding, extrusion, automation, pneumatic conveying, and pipe quality standards.
Leadership Skills: Excellent team-handling skills with a hands-on approach and strong leadership capabilities.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
